a Training & Development Specialist II position for
Deere & Company World Headquarters
Responsibilities:
- Position will deliver In-person and virtual training to John Deere employees. They will be responsible for delivering pre-existing content virtually or in-person to develop and inspire the Deere leader .
- The delivery audience will range from production employees to the director’s level.
- W ill require an ability to connect with and manage multiple personality types in a workshop, field questions, and adapt to unexpected events that can occur during instruction and travel.
- R equires a leader with excellent communication skills, project management skills, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude even in challenging circumstances.
- Deliver inclusive, interactive workshops, adapting material to audience responses in the moment.
- Collaborate and provide constructive feedback to enhance programs using best practices and participant input.
- Manage program materials, training tools, and attendance records.
- Liaise with departments to assess development needs and make recommendations.
- Plan and coordinate venues, schedules, delivery methods, and travel arrangements.
Requirements:
- 2 or more years’ experience in software applications , process, and systems training
- 2-4 years of experience facilitating team conversations.
- 2-4 years of experience using virtual training software such as Teams or Zoom.
- 1-3 years of experience using AI and automation tools to develop content, streamline processes, and improve systems.
- Must have experience with planning and coordinating training and event schedules.
- Experience facilitating strategic conversations, difficult conversations, reframing the question, and course correcting as needed.
- Visa Sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position .
- Candidates must live within the Quad City area.

- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
- Travel Requirements:
-Up to 50% - Frequently travels to John Deere locations across Illinois and Iowa.
-Additional locations may include North Dakota, North Carolina, Kansas, Texas and California. They would need to drive their own vehicle for travel within 5 hours of base location, but they will be reimbursed for mileage, gas, and other travel expenses.
