Assistant Plant Controller

Support all financial functions within manufacturing and distribution, including payroll, AP, production, shipping, and inventory control.

Validate accuracy of P&L and balance sheet accounts.

Safeguard company assets through cycle counts, physical inventories, and fixed asset controls.

Monitor capital project spending and close projects in a timely manner.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Provide accurate variance analysis and actionable insights.

Partner with plant and divisional leadership to drive cost reductions and performance improvements.

Lead reporting on plant spending and results (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).

Support continuous process improvement initiatives within finance and operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

5+ years of professional accounting/finance experience (manufacturing experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and analysis.

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Experience with ERP systems (J.D. Edwards a plus).

Strong integrity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
