Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is:
 
  • Pay Rate: $18-20/hr+ depending on experience 
 
Responsibilities:
Manual/CNC Machinist has the following responsibilities and duties:
 
  • Responsible for the set-up and operation of Bridgeports, Manual Lathes, CNC Lathes and Mills to manufacture parts according to blueprints and other specifications. 
  • Control and adjust machine settings. Offsets and Programming
  • Set up or assist in set up of machines (calibration, cleaning, etc) to start a production cycle
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Maintain activity logs.
Requirements: 
Manual/CNC Machinist should have the following skills, education, and experience:
 
  • Working knowledge of, and actual experience working with, various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks and surface gauges.
  • Knowledge of shop mathematics and CNC programming
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
  • Abilities: Standing, bending, some moderate to heavy lifting and able to do long hours of repetitive work.
  • Must be able to understand and complete departmental paperwork.
  • Teamwork-oriented
  • Quality conscious
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to train in the proper use of other assembly line equipment including (but not limited to) forklifts, overhead hoists, and pallet jacks.
