AutoCAD Drafter/Detailer

Crouch Staffing Solutions is immediately hiring for an AutoCad/Drafter! 

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Drafter works with the design team to construct models using the most current AutoCAD software.

This candidate will be driven to aid in the improvement of business processes and capable of working in a team environment while being tasked with individual objectives. Typical project timelines range from a few minutes up to several weeks and require the candidate to be able to clearly communicate with internal and external customers.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Using AutoCAD Software, create concept layouts, details, and design drawings with

proficiency.

• Participate in early concept work for new projects and recommend methods of

construction, product details, assembly/fabrication to minimize cost and maximize value.

• Knowledgeable of International Building codes (IBC), Americans with Disabilities Act

(ADA), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and can apply these codes into

product designs as directed.

• Works with purchasing personnel and production to order materials and estimate lead

times.

• Works with sales to provide customer solutions and estimated timelines of approval

packages and potential field solutions.

• Develop detail drawings for the design of all required elements, including all bolting and

accessories.

• Incorporate checker comments on the drawings and BOM’s and provide corrected

drawings for the fabrication and installation of the project.

• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

• College degree or some college course, preferred.

• Experience in design and manufacturing environment preferred.

• Design/detailing experience in the bleacher/grandstand industry preferred.

• Experience in 3D drafting experience preferred.

• AISC Certified Detailer preferred.

employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties

of this job, the employee is required to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a

computer. Verbal Communication is important, so employees must be able to hear and speak.
