Quality Assurance Auditor I & II
Location Stephenson County IL
Schedule: 1st shift - 6 AM Start Time (August - December)
Pay: $21/hour 

Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Auditor helps make sure all products meet food safety, quality, and legal standards before they leave the facility. This role performs product testing, inspects production processes, identifies quality issues, and works with production teams to ensure safe, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test incoming ingredients, products in production, and finished products to ensure they meet quality and food safety standards.
  • Perform laboratory tests for moisture, fat, salt, pH, protein, and other product specifications.
  • Collect and test environmental samples, including surfaces, equipment, water, and air.
  • Calibrate and maintain lab equipment to ensure accurate testing.
  • Inspect production areas before production begins and identify any quality concerns.
  • Monitor product quality throughout production and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Review production records to ensure food safety and quality requirements are being followed.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and sample inventory.
Additional Responsibilities for Auditor II:
  • Perform all Auditor I duties.
  • Place products on hold when quality concerns are identified.
  • Provide technical support to production teams on food safety and quality questions.
  • Train laboratory staff and assist with cross-training.
  • Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and maintain quality documentation.
  • Assist with laboratory procedures, data entry, and quality programs.
Qualifications:
  • Auditor I: High school diploma or GED with 2 years of lab experience, or a bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or Dairy Science.
  • Auditor II: Advanced knowledge of laboratory procedures with the ability to train others.
  • Food or dairy industry experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
