The
Purchasing
Assistant
will coordinate with supplies, track orders, prepare purchase orders, and maintain
accurate
records
to
assist
the
Purchasing
Manager.
This
role
requires
strong
organizational,
communication,
and
computer
skills. This role could
o
c
casionally
involves
assisting
with
inventory
management
and
logistics
to
ensure
timely
delivery
of
necessary
materials
and
equipment
to
project
sites.
The
ideal
candidate
is
detail-
o
riented,
a
fast
learner,
and
a
strong
team
player.
Job Duties will include:
- Prepare and process purchase orders and invoices.
- Maintain organized purchase-related files and records.
- Provide price information for materials and ensure purchases remain within budget requirements.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies or issues with orders and deliveries.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to support procurement needs.
- Assist with inventory management and logistics as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Needed:
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One or more years of experience in purchasing or procurement is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and resolve issues efficiently.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Attention to detail, fast learner, and team-oriented mindset.
