Medical Insurance/Billing Specialist
to join
a
busy medical practice
in
Davenport, IA
.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting insurance claims, managing claim follow-up, resolving denials, and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Submit and process insurance claims, ensuring accuracy for timely payments
- Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid or rejected claims
- Correct and resubmit denied claims
- Post insurance payments and adjustments
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and appeals
- Maintain accurate billing documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior medical billing and insurance experience required
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
