Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our team. The primary responsibility for this role is to ensure the accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices. This position requires excellent attention to detail, basic accounting skills, and the ability to handle additional tasks as they arise.

Primary Duties:
- Pay invoices from vendors daily (20-50 invoices depending on workload), verifying quantities, pricing, freight, and tax costs.
Frequent Duties:
- Correspond with sales representatives, vendors, or the office manager to resolve pricing or order discrepancies.
- Update order tracker with appropriate notes.
- Review monthly vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been received and paid.
Occasional Duties:
- Send W-9/Tax forms to vendors or clients upon request.
- Acquire freight quotes from UPS or other carriers.
- Create UPS labels and prepare packages for shipment.
- Print UPS bills and calculate shipping costs for client invoices.
- Create and monitor UPS claims for lost or damaged packages.
- Complete credit applications or other vendor/client forms as requested.
- Report on jobs to complete, open credits, and orders pending invoicing.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
- Previous experience in an accounting or administrative role is a plus.
