Unit Supervisor
 
Shift:   2 nd  Shift  (Training on 1 st )
Location:  Milan, IL
Employment Type:  3- month Contingent
Compensation:   $ 36.72 /hr
 
We, Sedona Staffing Moline as the employer, are recruiting for  a  Unit Supervisor   position  within  John Deere  Parts Distribution Center .  
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts and work overtime as required, including some weekend work .
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with both salary and wage personnel .
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook) .
  • Knowledge of warehouse distribution and material flow processes .
  • Experience supervising or leading a team in a union environment .
  • Working knowledge of the Continuous Improvement Process (CI) and 5S methodology .
  • Experience with an incentive pay system such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement .
  • Experience using statistical tools and techniques for quality management .
  • Knowledge or work experience in project management .
  • Experience with capacity and manpower planning .

     
 
Requirements: 
  • Excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
  • Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
    Bachelor’s  degree in (any discipline) .
  • Or 1+  years  equivalent work experience .
