Concrete Laborer
Location: NE Iowa
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-4:30pm
Possible OT on Saturdays
Direct Hire, $24+/hour, plus full benefits
Position Overview
This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn multiple aspects of the trade. The Concrete Laborer works as part of a field crew assisting with concrete and general construction projects. This is a Direct Hire position, meaning the chosen candidate will go onto hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for company benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing, placing, and finishing concrete on a variety of projects.
- Perform general construction tasks throughout the project.
- Learn and assist with different phases of concrete work and jobsite activities.
- Operate basic construction and concrete tools and assist with material handling.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
- Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn and be trained in multiple areas.
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments and project needs.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ pounds.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, typically 8–12 hours per day.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in an active construction environment.
