Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hr
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

JOB SUMMARY
The Drafter collaborates with the design team to construct models using current AutoCAD software.
This candidate will be driven to assist in improving business processes and be capable of working in a team environment while being tasked with individual objectives. Typical project timelines range from a few minutes to several weeks and require the candidate to clearly communicate with internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Using AutoCAD Software, create concept layouts, details, and design drawings with
proficiency.
• Participate in early concept work for new projects and recommend methods of
construction, product details, and assembly/fabrication to minimize cost and maximize value.
• Knowledgeable of International Building codes (IBC), Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA), American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), and can apply these codes to
product designs as directed.
• Works with purchasing personnel and production to order materials and estimate lead
times.
• Works with sales to provide customer solutions and estimated timelines of approval
packages and potential field solutions.
• Develop detailed drawings for the design of all required elements, including all bolting and
accessories.
• Incorporate checker comments on the drawings and BOMs and provide corrected
drawings for the fabrication and installation of the project.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Education, Skills, and Requirements
• Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 – 8 years of AutoCAD or similar software experience required.
• Willingness to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
• Basic knowledge of 2D design software, such as AutoCAD or similar, is a must.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite or related software.
• Ability to be punctual and work scheduled hours.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Education and Experience
• College degree or some college course, preferred.
• Experience in design and manufacturing environment preferred.
• Design/detailing experience in the bleacher/grandstand industry preferred.
• Experience in 3D drafting preferred.
• AISC Certified Detailer preferred.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties
of this job, the employee is required to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a
computer. Verbal Communication is important, so employees must be able to hear and speak.

Work Environment
