Loan Servicer
for a local
financial institution
. The
Loan Servicer
will
manag
e
loan documentation, ensu
re
compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintai
n
accurate records throughout the loan lifecycle.
This role involves coordinating with lenders, handling insurance policies, and resolving collateral exceptions. The Loan Servicer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing and servicing of loans, contributing to the overall efficiency of the lending department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and send documents to relevant parties for official recording, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the Attorney Payout spreadsheet from the Monthly New Note Audit report, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
- Manage pending reports by resolving collateral exceptions for all outstanding items, ensuring timely resolution.
- Review returned exceptions for accuracy and notify the lender upon receipt, facilitating prompt corrective actions.
- Assess and validate files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Manage hazard/flood insurance renewal policies, cancellations, and appropriate coverage to ensure compliance with lending requirements.
- Submit forms to HUB for waiving insurance, change of collateral, loan rewrite, corrections, adding collateral, etc., ensuring all changes are properly documented and processed.
- Manage partial releases and payoffs, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
- Manage all paid note statements, ensuring they are sent to customers promptly and accurately.
- Send paid Note, Security Agreements, Guarantees, Mortgage, and titles to customers, ensuring all documents are complete and accurate.
- Reach out to lenders on UCC expirations, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in loan servicing, loan documentation, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the lending industry is beneficial.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure high-impact tasks are completed first.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation and transactions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with lenders and team members.
