Industrial Janitor
Day Shift | M-F, 8-4pm | $18-$19
(20-minute paid lunch, two 10-min breaks)
Description:
Local manufacturing company in need of a temporary janitor, with possibility for permanent placement. Will be performing basic surface, floor, window, and grounds cleaning. Will include use of industrial cleaning equipment. Right fit candidate will have previous janitorial experience in an industrial or manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; emptying trash and recycling.
- Surface cleaning and dusting; vacuuming and washing windows.
- Operating the cardboard compactor, floor sweeper, and possibly forklift.
- Performing outdoor trash pickup, shoveling sidewalks and salting during winter months. Additional cleaning tasks and special projects may be assigned as needed.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Prior experience as industrial janitor or similar role required.
- Prior experience with forklift a plus.
- Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, lifting, and standing for full shift
- Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
