Job Description: Industrial Maintenance Technician 3rd shift
Pay: $ 22.00 per hour
Rock Falls, Illinois
The Maintenance/Production Technician will support all areas of the
plant, including performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting and repair mechanical and electrical issues, and non-routine maintenance of all plant equipment, machinery, and facility.
• Provide continuous preventative maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, hazard free working environment.
• Fabricates, welds, and machines minor parts or structures to complete on the spot and/or emergency repairs.
• Performs root cause analysis on reoccurring issues for permanent or lasting solutions to problems.
• Maintains a clean and debris free work area.
• Any other required repair and maintenance tasks necessary to keep the plant running smoothly.
• Involved in assisting management with OSHA compliance and maintaining plant safety.
Experience:
• At least some plant/ facility and equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing field.
• Experience repairing fixed automation, welding (MIG & TIG) and basic electrical testing equipment.
• Experience reading part and machine drawings, schematics, hydraulic and wiring diagrams.
Education and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred candidate will have certificates in electrical or mechanical systems or some technical training in plant/factory maintenance.
• Must be able to work with people, strong work ethic, must be capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, must be able to read and write in English and be able to stay focused on the required tasks.
• Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer, voltmeter and various other precision measuring equipment.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
