MARKETING COORDINATOR
SCHEDULE: 8AM TO 5PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY
LOCATION: DUBUQUE, IA
SALARY: $50K+ DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive marketing and relationship-building initiatives that support the continued growth of the practice. This role serves as the primary liaison between the practice and referring providers, while coordinating internal and external marketing efforts, enhancing customer service initiatives, and strengthening the practice's brand presence across all communication channels.
Essential Responsibilities
Growth & Referral Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers and their staff through consistent communication and outreach.
- Develop strategies to increase referrals and strengthen partnerships with the dental and medical community.
- Coordinate and facilitate the Referral Spear Study Club and other professional engagement programs.
- Plan, organize, and execute practice-sponsored educational, networking, and community events.
Marketing & Communications
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the annual practice marketing plan.
- Monitor marketing initiatives and measure effectiveness through referral tracking and reporting.
- Manage the practice's marketing budget and provide regular performance updates to leadership.
- Oversee the practice website, social media platforms (including Facebook), and other digital marketing channels to ensure current, engaging, and consistent messaging.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotional activities that align with practice goals and branding.
Customer Experience & Staff Development
- Develop and coordinate customer service training programs for administrative staff to ensure an exceptional patient experience.
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures related to internal and external customer service operations.
- Manage and optimize patient communication and referral management systems, including PBHS, referral software, and Sensei.
- Collaborate with the Practice Administrator to evaluate staff training needs, marketing initiatives, and special projects.
Operations & Compliance
- Prepare reports related to marketing performance, referral activity, and budget management.
- Foster a collaborative, professional work environment by promoting positive communication and constructive conflict resolution.
- Participate in all required compliance activities and promptly report concerns through appropriate channels.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, employee, provider, and business information in accordance with HIPAA and practice policies.
- Represent professionally while supporting the practice's Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, healthcare administration, practice management, business development, or a related field.
- Experience in healthcare medical practices is preferred.
