Janitor/Warehouse Utility
Hours: 6am to 330pm Monday thru Thurs and Fridays 6am to 10am
Wage: $16/hr
Job Description
Perform various cleaning, maintenance and monthly check list duties to keep the warehouse clean, maintained, and organized, both inside and out. Assist in the warehouse where needed, when needed. Position requires flexibility with hours and duties. Will normally assist with maintenance needs as core duties, but will be expected to assist within all areas of warehouse as needed. This may include loading/unloading trucks, picking, sorting, building pallets, receiving, etc. Position may also involve travel (occasional overnights) to store locations to assist with maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- 18+ Years of age due to OSHA requirements, forklift certification required
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the warehouse clean and orderly
- Small maintenance and minor repairs on trailers such as fixing plywood in trailers, replacing trailer tail lights, marker lights and making other small repairs as necessary
- Work in warehouse as needed, may sort inter-stores, unload trailers, etc.
- Check operation and lubricate edge-of-dock plates
- Maintain conveyors such as realign eyes, replace couplers and rubber bands and replace rollers and clean eyes on conveyor
- Maintain cleanliness of outside yard area, keep free of clutter
- Replace fluorescent bulbs and clean light fixtures and exhaust fans
- Load and bale cardboard and shrink wrap
- Miscellaneous lawn & garden maintenance and removal of weeds, bushes, trees
- Keep sidewalks and emergency exits clear from snow using snow blower, shovels, or ATV
- After measurable snowfall, report to work at 5:00 am to clear snow
- Light facility maintenance such as painting, minor plumbing, electrical work and simple construction
- Loading/unloading trucks, picking, sorting, building pallets, as needed
- Clean out high racks of cardboard, plastic and empty pallets.
- Run Plow truck as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned by management

- Experience in constructing, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, and general repairing
- Ability to use power equipment such as saws, baler, sweeper, pallet jack and forklift
- Basic math and computer skills
- Good problem solving and reasoning skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and flexible to perform duties as volume deems necessary
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Exhibit a high level of dependability and integrity
