Electrician and Facilities Maintenance Technician
Multi-locations: North Central Iowa Area (Main location: Cedar Falls, IA)
Pay: $28.00–$50.00+ per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Facilities & Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair, and improve facility infrastructure across multiple locations. This hands-on role is responsible for preventative maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, facility repairs, equipment installation, and transporting materials between sites.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills, experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems, and enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced environment. This is a direct hire opportunity. Meaning, the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for company provided benefits.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
  • Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Perform maintenance on 240V and 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Replace and troubleshoot motors, VFDs, breakers, disconnects, and power distribution equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures safely and accurately.
  • Assist with equipment installations and facility improvement projects.
  • Transport equipment, tools, and materials between company locations.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inventory, and documentation.
  • Work with outside contractors and vendors during maintenance and installation projects.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies.
  • Participate in after-hours or emergency maintenance as needed.
 
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of facility, industrial, or electrical maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to travel between several facilities / locations throughout North Central Iowa area.
  • Experience working with commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of three-phase electrical equipment and motor controls.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Experience performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and maintenance tracking.
Preferred
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with 240V and 480V three-phase systems.
  • Knowledge of VFDs, transformers, motor controls, and industrial power distribution.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, energy, or data center environments.
  • Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or similar safety certifications.
