LOCATION: CASCADE, IA
WAGE $19-$20/HOUR
Position Summary:
The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing and processing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in packaging, labeling, and documentation. This role plays a key part in maintaining the flow of goods to customers on time and in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare materials and products for shipment according to customer orders.
- Verify and package orders using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
- Generate and review shipping documents, such as packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (certification may be required).
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and ensure timely outbound shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping records and update inventory systems as needed.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Communicate with internal departments (sales, production, customer service) to resolve shipping issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping labels, and documents.
- Basic computer skills; experience with shipping software or ERP systems a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented and dependable.
