Mortgage Processor/Closer
 
Shift:  1 st  Shift Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
Job  Location:   Moline, IL
Compensation: $24-$25/hr, depending on experience
 
Sedona Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Mortgage Processor/Closer for temporary (possibly temp-to-hire) role in Moline, IL. This position plays a critical role in supporting the end-to-end mortgage process—from application through closing—by coordinating with borrowers, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
 
Additionally, this position will provide support across both the Processing and Closing departments, serving as a floater between the two teams and assisting wherever needed.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between the originating team, borrower, underwriter, and closer.
  • Provide borrowers with timely status updates and request required documentation.
  • Review and verify accuracy of loan applications, disclosures, income, assets, credit, title, appraisal reports, AUS findings, and other supporting documents.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and investor guidelines.
  • Submit complete loan files to underwriting for initial and final approval.
  • Enter loan data into Encompass and maintain pipeline reports.
  • Recommend denial of loans that do not meet compliance or underwriting standards.
  • Keep detailed, organized, and compliant loan files and records for reporting.
 
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ mortgage processing experience required.
  • Proficient in mortgage software (Encompass preferred) and MS Office.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Must be dependable and proactive.
