is seeking a
Forklift Driver – Assembly Support
for a fast-paced manufacturing environment in the Waco area. This is
not a 100% forklift position
— this role combines forklift operation with hands-on support in the assembly department.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable getting on and off the forklift frequently to assist with production tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift to transport materials, kits, and finished goods
- Deliver kits to the assembly department for production use
- Move completed products to designated staging areas
- Frequently get on/off forklift to assist with manual tasks
- Generate and track serial numbers using computer systems
- Assist with engraving serial numbers onto metal products
- Support assembly team with general material handling and workflow needs
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in work areas
Requirements:
- Previous forklift experience required (certification preferred)
- Comfortable working in a role that is not solely forklift-based
- Basic computer skills (data entry, navigating systems)
- Strong attention to detail, especially when working with serial numbers
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Work Environment & PPE Requirements:
- Manufacturing/warehouse environment with varying temperatures
- Physically active role requiring frequent movement
- Steel-toed work boots required
