Industrial Maintenance Tech (Mechanical)

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, compressors, and actuators.
• Inspect and replace bearings, gearboxes, shafts, belts, chains, sprockets, couplings, and drive assemblies.
• Troubleshoot overhead cranes, hoists, conveyors, material-handling equipment, and industrial fabrication machinery.
• Service saws, press brakes, welding positioners, automated production systems, and related equipment.
• Read mechanical drawings and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics to diagnose equipment failures.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble machinery; fabricate or modify guards, brackets, and replacement parts as needed.
• Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and startups; respond promptly to breakdowns.
• Communicate repair status to production leadership and follow all safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or another heavy industrial setting.
• Hands-on maintenance experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, crane, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures independently and perform preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment.
• High school diploma or GED; strong commitment to safety and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with automated production machinery, robotics, CNC systems, or heavy manufacturing equipment.
• Background in steel fabrication, metal manufacturing, welding operations, or mechanical fabrication.
• Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb; lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently.
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery, on ladders or elevated platforms, and in confined spaces as needed.
• Able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
