Crouch Staffing Solutions is hiring for a Welder / Tooling Technician to support a manufacturing facility in the Waco area. This position combines welding, fabrication, and tooling support to maintain production equipment and ensure quality output.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Summary
The Welder / Tooling Technician is responsible for performing structural welding, fabrication, and tooling maintenance to support manufacturing operations. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, precision measurement abilities, and experience operating fabrication equipment in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural welding using MIG and Stick welding processes
  • Fabricate, repair, and modify tooling, fixtures, and production components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
  • Use calipers, tape measures, and precision tools to verify measurements and tolerances
  • Operate shop equipment including plasma cutter, acetylene torch, wire feed, chop saw, cold saw, and band saw
  • Assist with tooling setup, adjustment, and maintenance to support production efficiency
  • Safely operate a forklift when needed to move materials or finished parts
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform additional fabrication or maintenance duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience with MIG and Stick welding required
  • Prior experience in tooling, fabrication, or manufacturing support strongly preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform basic shop math
  • Experience with hand tools, fabrication machinery, and measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to accuracy, quality, and safety
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently when needed
