Job description summary
The Assembly Technician assembles industrial parts and components, checks products for quality, and prepares completed orders for packaging and shipment.
Main job duties
- Assemble parts and units using assembly prints and written instructions.
- Use hand tools and small power tools.
- Test and calibrate components to meet product specifications.
- Inspect incoming parts and finished assemblies for defects or damage.
- Complete production and quality paperwork.
- Scan and track inventory using computer systems, including NetSuite and RF Smart.
- Help with packaging, shipping, and other warehouse duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate a forklift after completing required training and certification.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
- Good attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or shipping experience is preferred.
