Location: Monticello, WI
Salary: $20/hr
Job Type: Full-time,
- Days: 5:00am-3:30pm Mon - Thu (some overtime required on Fridays)
- Days: 6:00am-4:30pm Mon - Thu (some overtime required on Fridays)
Position Summary:
A growing cheese packaging company, is seeking a Production Line Lead to oversee daily production operations. This position is responsible for ensuring production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency. The Line Lead will supervise and train employees, operate equipment, monitor production schedules, and troubleshoot issues to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and train production employees to meet daily goals.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure orders are completed on time.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot production equipment.
- Maintain food safety, product quality, and workplace safety standards.
- Monitor inventory and ensure materials are available for production.
- Perform quality inspections and product testing.
- Track production performance and accurately enter data.
- Identify production delays and help improve efficiency.
- Communicate with supervisors and resolve production issues.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, food production, or packaging experience preferred.
- Leadership or team lead experience is a plus.
- Ability to read production schedules and follow instructions.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train employees and manage multiple tasks.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout a 10-hour shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in cold environments (33–65°F).
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Must wear required safety and food production protective equipment.
