Location: Davenport, IA
Shift: 1st Shift
Compensation: $19/hr DOE
Sedona Staffing is seeking a Medical Transcriptionist to join a busy medical practice in Davenport, IA. This role requires professionalism, consistent attendance, and the ability to maintain productivity in a busy clinical setting. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to adhere to a regular work schedule are essential to ensure the smooth operation of the practice. This position is not remote and requires on-site presence during scheduled hours.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe physician chart notes and correspondence from audio dictation
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and properly formatted
- Edit and proofread all transcriptions for grammar, spelling, and consistency
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
- Communicate directly with the physician to clarify dictation when necessary
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Medical Transcriptionist
- Exceptional typing speed and accuracy
- Strong command of medical terminology
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Demonstrated history of reliability and consistent attendance
