SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERKS
SHIFTS: 1ST AND 2ND SHIFT AVAIL
WAGE: $16 AND $18/HOUR

Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling, storage, and transport of cheese and dairy products within the facility. This role ensures all inbound and outbound shipments are correctly documented, properly stored, and meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving Duties:
    • Unload incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging supplies, and other goods.
    • Inspect incoming products for quality, temperature, and accuracy.
    • Verify packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading against actual deliveries.
    • Enter received items into inventory management systems.
    • Move materials to designated storage areas using forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Shipping Duties:
    • Pick and pack finished cheese products according to customer orders.
    • Prepare shipments including weighing, labeling, and palletizing products.
    • Verify product quantities and quality prior to shipping.
    • Load trucks in accordance with safety guidelines and delivery schedules.
    • Generate shipping documents (BOLs, invoices, manifests, etc.).
  • Inventory & Organization:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
    • Participate in cycle counts and full inventory audits.
    • Keep warehouse and dock areas clean and organized.
    • Rotate stock according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines.
    • Adhere to OSHA and plant-specific safety protocols.
    • Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or equipment issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse role; food industry preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification a plus).
  • Basic computer skills (for inventory systems, shipping software, etc.).
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in cold environments (coolers/freezers).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
