Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all active projects from start to finish. This role oversees daily operations, coordinates field crews and subcontractors, manages project timelines, and serves as the primary point of contact for general contractors and project stakeholders. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and direct involvement in field and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
• Oversee all active projects from award through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met.
• Resolve day-to-day project challenges including scheduling conflicts, site access issues, and coordination with other trades.
• Monitor project progress, review submittals and change orders, and communicate updates to leadership.

Crew Coordination & Field Operations
• Schedule and dispatch crews across multiple job sites, balancing manpower with project demands.
• Ensure crews are fully prepared with materials, tools, and documentation prior to deployment.
• Assist with staging materials and loading trucks as needed.
• Coordinate site logistics and confirm access requirements with job site contacts.

Client & Subcontractor Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors, superintendents, and project managers.
• Source, schedule, and manage subcontractors to support project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships to support repeat business opportunities.

Receiving & Inventory Management
• Oversee receiving processes and verify materials against purchase orders.
• Maintain organized warehouse and staging areas.
• Track inventory levels and proactively identify material needs.

Business Support
• Support business development efforts including estimating and proposal preparation.
• Assist leadership in maintaining operational efficiency and growth.
• Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in construction, operations, or project management.
• Proven ability to manage projects, coordinate teams, and oversee subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Proven ability to manage projects, coordinate teams, and oversee subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with theatrical rigging, stage equipment, or specialty installation.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Monday.com).
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and QuickBooks Online.

Work Environment
This is an on-site role with regular travel to project sites. The position requires a mix of office, warehouse, and field work, including standing, lifting, and working in active construction environments.
