Traffic Coordinator
 
 
Shift:  1 st  shift M-F, Full-Time 
Location:   Davenport, IA   
Compensation:  $2 5 .00–$2 7 . 00 / hr  based on experience
 
Sedona Staffing is seeking a  Traffic Coordinator  for a local manufacturing company. This role is responsible for coordinating freight movement, scheduling shipments, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. You’ll act as a key link between warehouse operations, customer service, and transportation providers.
 
Key  Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily shipping schedules and manage carrier communications 
  • Ensure on-time delivery of plastic storage products to retailers 
  • Oversee shipping documentation and maintain driver qualifications 
  • Enforce DOT and safety regulations 
  • Collaborate with warehouse managers, shipping/receiving clerks, and corporate teams 
  • Track and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or errors
 
Required  Qualifications:
  • Experience with shipping and transportation processes (training available) 
    • Routing orders via customer web portals
    • Scheduling pickups with carriers (primarily via email)
    • LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipments
    • Bills of Lading (BOLs) and packing lists
    • Rail freight coordination
  • Familiarity with freight carriers and shipping documentation 
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in freight coordination or logistics administration
