Patient Relation Representative

• Management of electronic medical records.
• Control record filing or indexing. 
• Greet patients and visitors .
• Register patients in the practice management system. 
• Collect identification and insurance cards  and copy or scan them for the record.
• Collect co-pays or other monies.
• Communicate arrival of patient and their needs to the clinical staff.
• Promptly answer phones and communicate with patients in a courteous manner. 
• Respond to patient appointment requests as quickly as possible and schedule all appointments in accordance to practice guidelines.
• Take monies owed, post monies and produce a receipt for the patient.
• Make return  appointments  for the patient if needed . 
• Follow complex scheduling policies and procedures  in order to  ensure all patients are scheduled correctly. 
• Complete checklists as assigned and participate in department hurdles to ensure that every single day flows smoothly. 
• Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance. 

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic k nowledge of electronic medical records.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills. 
• A bility to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment. 
• Overtime required as approved by Practice Manager.
