ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FOR A JOB/MACHINE SHOP  
 
Location :    Escondido , CA  
Potential Temp to Hire Opportunity  
   
Responsibilities Include:  
 
  • Supports administrative operations in a job/machine shop environment.  
  • Creates orders and supports order management in system.  
  • Review purchase orders and quotes to verify part numbers and pricing accuracy to ensure orders are entered accurately.  
  • Answering all inquiries with Clients regarding order status, product availability and pricing as well as discussing billing and purchase orders.         
  • Follow up with customers to resolve any discrepancy.  
  • Tracks sales orders and shipments.  
  • Generates, maintains and distributes reports and maintains all files for back up.        
  • Assist with preparing customer quotations and maintaining pricing information.  
  • Demonstrates familiarity with manufacturing terminology, customer specifications, and order documentation.  
  • Working knowledge of blueprints and customer specifications to assist with administrative processing, order accuracy, and record maintenance.  
  • Works with various departments as a communication liaison.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  
  • Could possibly  require  walking out into the shipping area to support scanning and Shipping and Receiving.
 
Requirements Include:  
  • College degree or equivalent preferred.  
  •   3+ years of Administrative Assistant experience required.  
  • Experience with Purchase Orders and Sales Orders.  
  • Familiarity with Blueprints.  
  • Detail-oriented.  
  • Strong organizational skills.  
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.  
  • Strong in Microsoft Office.    Word and Excel.  
 
Physical Requirements:  
  • Sitting 20+ hours a week  
  • Walking 1-10 hours a week  
  • Standard hearing and visual with ability to read printed material  
  • No protective clothing or equipment required  
 
Compensation :  ~ $28.00 Hr.    - $32.00 Hr.
