Sedona Staffing is seeking qualified Assemblers for a client located in the Muscatine area. Hours can vary depending on the department.
Job Summary:
Builds and/or assembles a variety of sub-assembly components and utilizes blueprints to connect/fasten multiple components.
Essential Job Duties:
• Operates hand and power tools for mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electronic assembly
• Receives required parts and/or assembled components and reads blueprints and/or work instructions in order to connect/fasten multiple sub-assembly components.
• Visually inspects work previously assembled by others in addition to their own work.
• Ensures inventory of required supplies is kept at appropriate levels. Uses computer to expedite parts as required to meet schedule
• Stacks and/or moves completed work by following material handling and safety procedures. May use overhead crane/hoists and lift trucks to move heavy materials
• Provides work assistance/guidance to lower-level employees as required
• Supports the Company's 5S program in an effort to maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat organized manner.
• May be required to tear down, clean repair, rebuild, and reassemble previously built assemblies
• Performs related work as assigned
Responsibilities:
• Works under general supervisor from supervisor/manager, assistant team leader (ATL), or other department leads.
• Follows procedures/guidelines in order to complete tasks (i.e. standardized work).
• Makes recommendations to change outdated or ineffective procedures through the kaizen process.
• Supports Toyota Production System (TPS) driven processes and activities
