PACKAGING WORKER
LOCATION: LENA, IL
WAGE: $18/HOUR
Job Summary
The Packaging Worker is responsible for preparing, packaging, labeling, and inspecting products to ensure they meet company quality and safety standards. This role supports efficient production operations while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Package finished products according to company specifications and production schedules
- Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor packaging supplies and report shortages
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines
- Assist with loading, stacking, and palletizing finished goods
- Record production data as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in manufacturing or food production is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic communication and teamwork skills
