TIG Welder
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Pay: $19.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience Job Summary
The TIG Welder is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding stainless steel and aluminum components used in the production of industrial microwave processing equipment. This role requires precision TIG welding, blueprint interpretation, quality inspections, and collaboration with production and engineering teams to manufacture custom microwave transmitters, ovens, and processing systems.
Responsibilities
• Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components to required specifications.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and e iciently.
• Work with production and engineering teams to complete custom manufacturing projects.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality control requirements. Physical Requirements
• Frequently lift and carry materials, tools, and fabricated components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Use overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, or team lifting for heavier assemblies.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the workday.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to welding fumes, heat, noise, and metal fabrication equipment.
