HOURS: 7AM -3PM MONDAY – FRIDAY, SOME SATURDAYS
3PM-11:30PM MONDAY- FRIDAY, SOME SATURDAYS, TRANING 1 WEEK 7AM TO 3PM
PAY RATE: $17.69/HR FOR 1ST, $19.19 FOR 2ND SHIFT
LOCATION: MINERAL POINT, WI
Position Summary
An assembler at Cummins is responsible for building, assembling, and testing engine components or complete systems in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on quality, safety, and efficiency while following standardized processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble engine parts, components, or subassemblies using hand and power tools
- Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Inspect parts for defects and ensure products meet quality standards
- Operate machinery or production equipment as required
- Perform basic testing of assembled units
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Report issues, malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Meet daily production targets and timelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (typical minimum)
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions or schematics
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
- Experience using torque tools, gauges, or measurement devices
