$23.00-$25.00/hr depending on experience
Sedona Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Human Resource Assistant for a local manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze weekly staffing numbers to ensure goals are met.
- Post job openings, accept and review applications, and conduct candidate evaluations.
- Manager Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) documentation and monitor the status of employees on FMLA Leave.
- Provide support and cover HR Manager responsibilities in their absence.
- Schedule, coordinate, and conduct new hire orientations.
- Notifying eligible employees about Short-Term Disability (STD) Coverage.
- Process unemployment claims and attend related hearings as needed.
- Assist with payroll.
- Prepare and post daily labor reports, weekly flash reports, and weekly labor hour worksheets.
- Assist with open enrollment processes, United Way campaigns, wellness initiatives, and other HR projects throughout the year.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Human Resources experience working in staffing, performance development, unemployment, FMLA/ADA and employee relations required.
- Familiar with FMLA/ADA/STD and Staffing /Recruiting/Hiring Insurance billing.
- Prior knowledge with HR /Payroll systems preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
