Job Summary:
The warehouse manager will plan, oversee, and monitor all functions of the warehouse for a commercial distribution company that ships consumer electronics and high-end appliances. Which includes managing the warehouse team to achieve the following. Scheduling, inspection, verification, and storing of all inbound receipts and returns. Processing, inspection, and shipping of all outbound shipments utilizing company criteria. Verify the accuracy of inventory using physical and cycle counts.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and train warehouse employees on warehouse tasks
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Maintain warehouse staffing level to achieve changing goals
- Perform employee reviews and employee discipline
- Schedule and report on inbound shipments
- Monitor incoming shipments to ensure the accuracy of counts and the condition of the product
- Utilize the computer and RF scanners to complete the receiving process
- Set up and maintain warehouse organization
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness
- Determine how orders ship out based on company procedures and company rating tools
- Oversee the process of picking and packing orders
- Oversee the accuracy of picked orders
- Schedule pickups of processed orders
- Weekly cycle counts
- Physical inventories
Requirements:
- Proven warehouse management experience
- Ability to work within a team
- Forklift experience
- Experience in processing and shipping LTL, FTL, and small parcel shipments
- Ability to multi-task
- Problem-solving skills
- Must have exceptional attendance
- Strong computer skills, office products
- Ability to plan and prioritize based off workload
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, and pull for long periods
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to plan and work overtime as needed
- Willingness to relocate a plus
- Must travel for training
