MACHINE OPERATOR 
HOURS: 3rd shift
LOCATION: Dyersville, IA
TRAINING SCHEDULE:
  • Must train on days
  • Mon-Fri, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Job Summary:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production and packaging equipment used to produce and package animal feed and nutrition products. This role ensures products run through the manufacturing and packaging lines efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards. Operators perform routine equipment checks, troubleshoot production issues, maintain accurate production records, and keep work areas clean and organized. Heavy lifting and manual labor is also required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor various equipment, including mixing, bagging, spray drying, fluid bed drying, and powered lift systems.
  • Work in packaging line, packaging materials and palletizing finished goods
  • Ensure proper filling weights for tote boxes, super sacks, poly bags, and paper bags.
  • Inspect packaging for correct seals, weights, code dates, and quality.
  • Transfer and pack materials into appropriate cases, ensuring accurate counts and sealing.
  • Add tape to tape machines and load boxes into case erectors.
R equired Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to operate and maintain production and packaging equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to identify code dates, packaging defects, and improper seals.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects up to 50-75lbs and perform physical labor.
  • Strong communication skills and reliability in attendance.
