Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is:
  • Pay Rate: $18.50/hr
 
Responsibilities:
Press Brake Operator has the following responsibilities and duties:
  • Set-up and operate Hydraulic Press Brake to manufacture parts according to blueprints and other specifications
  • Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions, or numerical control sequences
  • Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences
  • Test operation of machines periodically and fix any issues that might occur
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Maintain activity logs and keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Requirements: 
Press Brake Operator should have the following skills, education, and experience:
  • Working knowledge of, and actual experience working with Press Brake machinery
  • Must be able to accurately use and read calipers and micrometers
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to do long hours of repetitive work, while maintaining quality, accuracy and detail
  • Must be able to understand and complete departmental paperwork
  • Able to diligently follow safety protocol and utilize required PPE, including cut resistant gloves, safety glasses, safety toe shoes, etc.
  • Must be able to train in the proper use of other assembly line equipment including (but not limited to) forklifts, overhead hoists, and pallet jacks
