CNC Machinist

• Safely operate machines, hand tools, and accurately read measuring tools in compliance with all company safety rules and practices
• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and machine setup/programming requirements.
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, materials, and programs on machines such as manual or CNC mills, lathes, saws, and drills.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
• Sets up and operates the machine on a trial run to verify the accuracy of the machine settings.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Fits and assembles parts into a complete assembly.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists as needed
• Any other duties as assigned.
• Requires repetitive, frequent lifting to 50 pounds without assistance, bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling for long hours.  Requires carrying items up to 25 feet on a frequent basis.  
• Requires working in a non-climate-controlled work environment.  

• Willing to work overtime when necessary. 
• High School Diploma or GED required.  
• Previous CNC and manual machining experience required.
• Prefer candidate with strong attention to detail, dependability, strong oral communication skills, and having the ability to work well with others.
