Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is:
  • Pay Rate: $18/hr+ based on experience 
 
Responsibilities:
CNC Machinist  has the following responsibilities and duties:
  • Responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC Turret Punches to manufacture parts according to blueprint and other specifications.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance for CNC and tooling.
  • Must be able to follow set-up sheets for CNC.
  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
  • Test operation of machines periodically.
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Maintain activity logs.
 
Requirements: 
CNC Machinist  should have the following skills, education, and experience:
  • Working knowledge of, and actual experience working with, various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks and surface gauges.
  • Knowledge of production procedures, machine shop theory and machine shop mathematics.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
  • Abilities: Standing, bending, some moderate to heavy lifting and able to do long hours of repetitive work.
  • Must be able to understand and complete departmental paperwork.
  • Teamwork-oriented
  • Quality conscious
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Must be trained in the proper use of other assembly line equipment including forklifts, overhead hoists, and pallet jacks.
