The pay rate for this position is:
- Pay Rate: $18/hr+ based on experience
Responsibilities:
CNC Machinist
has the following responsibilities and duties:
- Responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC Turret Punches to manufacture parts according to blueprint and other specifications.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance for CNC and tooling.
- Must be able to follow set-up sheets for CNC.
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Maintain activity logs.
Requirements:
CNC Machinist
should have the following skills, education, and experience:
- Working knowledge of, and actual experience working with, various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks and surface gauges.
- Knowledge of production procedures, machine shop theory and machine shop mathematics.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
- Abilities: Standing, bending, some moderate to heavy lifting and able to do long hours of repetitive work.
- Must be able to understand and complete departmental paperwork.
- Teamwork-oriented
- Quality conscious
- Accurate and detail oriented.
- Must be trained in the proper use of other assembly line equipment including forklifts, overhead hoists, and pallet jacks.
