Job Summary: The Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary conditions throughout the production facility. This position supports food safety by properly cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work areas, and production surfaces according to company standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, floors, walls, and work surfaces.
- Follow established sanitation procedures and food-safety requirements.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, and sanitation equipment.
- Inspect areas after cleaning to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Report equipment, safety, or sanitation issues to supervisors.
- Follow company safety policies and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete required sanitation records and checklists accurately.
- Work effectively with production and quality-assurance teams.
Qualifications
- Previous sanitation, food-processing, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
