Job Description: Maintenance Technician 3rd shift
Pay: $ 21.42 - $ 23.42 Training pay and then shift pay
The Maintenance/Production Technician will support all areas of the plant, including performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns. This person can perform complex and specialized work on all equipment. Advises and assists operators and management in methods required for properly functioning equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Troubleshooting and repair mechanical and electrical issues, and non-routine maintenance of all plant equipment, machinery, and facility.
• Provide continuous preventative maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, hazard free working environment.
• Fabricates, welds, and machines minor parts or structures to complete on the spot and/or emergency repairs.
• Expert knowledge of 3 phase 480V & 240V; single phase 240V & 120V and 24 VDC controls.
• Performs root cause analysis on reoccurring issues for permanent or lasting solutions to problems.
• Maintains a clean and debris free work area.
• Ability to be available for potential calls on off hours.
• Any other required repair and maintenance tasks necessary to keep the plant running smoothly.
• Involved in assisting management with OSHA compliance and maintaining plant safety.
Experience:
• At least 2 years of facility and equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing field.
• Must be knowledgeable of PLC fundamentals.
• Experience repairing fixed automation, welding (MIG & TIG) and high voltage electrical testing equipment.
• Experience reading part and machine drawings, schematics, hydraulic and wiring diagrams.
Education and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have certificates in electrical or mechanical systems. Preferred is an Associate degree or formal technical training in plant/factory maintenance, engineering, or equipment maintenance.
• Must be able to work with people, strong work ethic, must be capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills, must be able to read and write in English and be able to stay focused on the required tasks.
• Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper and micrometer, voltmeter and various other precision measuring equipment.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
