A well-established Dubuque manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement & Logistics Coordinator
to support purchasing, inventory control, and in-process logistics operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has experience with ERP systems, inventory management, vendor communication, and coordinating material movement. This is a direct hire opportunity. Meaning, the right fit will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Create and process purchase orders and packing lists within the ERP system.
- Verify material quantities, routing, and inventory transactions.
- Prepare load sheets and delivery/pick-up schedules for company drivers.
- Coordinate local truck loads and drivers transporting in-process materials to and from manufacturing facility. Note: This role focuses on the movement of in-process goods and does not include coordinating shipments of finished products to customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors for scheduling deliveries, order updates, and expedited shipments.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries while ensuring proper documentation.
- Receive materials and complete ERP receipt transactions accurately.
- Pull component parts and process material issue transactions.
- Perform cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain purchasing, shipping, and inventory records.
- Assist with labeling containers for hot shipments and expedited orders when needed.
- Work closely with purchasing, production, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Assist with additional purchasing, logistics, and inventory projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in purchasing, shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, or manufacturing preferred.
- Experience using an ERP system is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems.
