Material Handler
Location: Stephenson County IL
Wage: $20/hr
1st Shift Schedule: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Job Summary:
A local manufacturing is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as Material Handlers. This role is responsible for safely moving, organizing, loading, and unloading materials throughout the facility while supporting production and warehouse operations. Candidates should be safety-focused, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse or production facility
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
- Supply production lines with materials as needed
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate material counts
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties
- Inspect materials and products for damage or quality concerns
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow company safety procedures and policies
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred, but training may be available
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and communication skills
- High school diploma or GED preferred
