SHIFT: 1ST SHIFT
WAGE: $18/HOUR
Position Summary
The Tumbler Operator is responsible for operating tumbling equipment to deburr, clean, and finish metal stampings according to company quality standards. This role ensures parts meet customer specifications while maintaining safety and productivity goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload metal parts into tumbling machines.
- Operate vibratory or barrel tumblers to remove burrs and sharp edges from stamped parts.
- Add and monitor proper media, compounds, and water levels.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Separate parts from tumbling media after processing.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tumbling equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Work closely with supervisors and quality control personnel.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred (metal stamping experience a plus).
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of quality inspection tools and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
