SHIFT: 730AM-4PM M-F
WAGE: $20/HOUR
LOCATION: DUBUQUE, IA
Position Summary
SEDONA is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for preparing shipments, verifying orders, maintaining accurate shipping records, and ensuring products are packaged and shipped safely, accurately, and on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and verify outgoing customer orders for shipment.
- Pick, pack, label, and stage products according to shipping requirements.
- Prepare shipping documents, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Schedule shipments and coordinate pickups with freight carriers and delivery services.
- Verify product quantities, part numbers, and shipping addresses for accuracy.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for proper packaging and compliance with company procedures.
- Receive incoming shipments and assist with unloading, inspecting, and documenting materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update inventory or order management systems.
- Communicate with warehouse personnel, customer service, purchasing, and other departments regarding order status and shipping issues.
- Investigate shipping discrepancies, damaged products, and missing items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable shipping regulations.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn shipping and inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, shipping documents, and work orders.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet shipping deadlines.
- Ability to lift and move packages or materials as required by the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus, if applicable
