About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and driven Account Executive to join our client’s Transportation department. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships, identifying client needs, and delivering consultative solutions. As an Account Executive, you will generate new business while providing exceptional service to an existing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new client relationships through networking, outreach, and referrals
- Conduct client interviews to assess insurance needs and recommend tailored solutions
- Present proposals and renewals both virtually and in person (travel 50%+)
- Maintain and grow client relationships by providing high-quality service and support
- Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate coverage, premiums, terms, and conditions
- Ensure timely premium collection and completion of necessary documentation
- Partner with client service and marketing teams to deliver cohesive service
- Conduct risk assessments and offer additional coverages as needed
- Travel regularly to meet with prospects and existing clients
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
- 1–3 years of experience in sales or a related field
- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel frequently; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Service-oriented mindset with a consultative approach
