Job Title: General Laborer ( Direct Hires )
Shift: 2nd shift ( 3 openings )
Job Location: Sterling, IL 61081
Compensation: $ 22.42 per hour
Job Summary for: The purpose of this role is to support the day-to-day functions of production by performing a variety of tasks, and assisting with production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in an assigned production area.
• Perform general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, painting, preparing loads for shipment, assisting with operating machines, and building pallets.
• Properly use hand tools, saws, nail guns, paint brushes, scrapers, etc., safely, and prepare or move products for the next process or for shipping.
• Operate the overhead crane.
• Train for additional tasks and/or upgraded job roles.
• Maintain a clean work area to ensure a safe, hazard-free working environment.
• Janitorial duties as assigned.
• Participate in inventory as requested.
• Actively support and sustain 5S standards by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and visual controls within the work area at all times.
Education/ Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of Experience in factory environment.
High School diploma or GED
Must pass background check and drug screen.
