Diesel Mechanic

Job Title: Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic 

Location: Prairie du Chien, WI 

Pay: $35.00 per hour – bonus opportunities

Shift: 1st shift Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Summary:

Sedona Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established sand and gravel company located in Prairie du Chien, WI. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and has strong experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment such as loaders, bulldozers, excavators, and haul trucks

· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement timely solutions

· Maintain diesel engines, including fuel systems, emissions controls, and cooling systems

· Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently

· Document maintenance activities and complete service reports accurately

· Operate diagnostic tools and maintain a clean, organized work area

· Communicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operators

Qualifications:

· Class A CDL (not required but beneficial)

· Welding experience

· Electrical knowledge

· Problem solving skills

· Diesel/Mechanic experience
