Material Attendant
Location: Muscatine
Pay Rate: $19.26/HR
Shift: 1st shift
Sedona Staffing is seeking a Material Attendant in the service parts shipping and warehouse department for a client located in the Muscatine area. Qualified candidates must have experience and be able to do the following:
Job Summary
Distributes, moves, stocks, ships, and/or receives various parts and equipment.
Essential Job Duties
• Complying with all material handling and safety requirements operates lift trucks in order to distribute, move, ship, and/or receive specified parts or equipment
• You are required to obtain and maintain Forklift Driver Certification through the Company.
• Performs a variety of routine stocking duties typically including, but not limited to picking, marshaling, sorting, packing, stacking, loading, labeling, etc.
• Keeps accurate records of all transactions.
• Resolves routine material workflow problems with assigned equipment/part orders. Ensures more complex problems are directed appropriately.
• Interfaces with multiple departments over routine issues.
• Supports the Company's 5S program in an effort to maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
• May be required to utilize hand and power tools.
• Performs related work as assigned.
Responsibilities
• Works under close supervision from the manager, assistant team leader (ATL), or other departmental lead.
• Follows specific procedures in order to complete non-complex tasks (i.e. standardized work).
• Makes recommendations to change outdated or ineffective procedures through the kaizen process.
• Supports Toyota Production Systems (TPS) driven processes and activities.

• Drives for quality results with a minimum of avoidable errors and problems, as well as the minimum consumption of resources.

• Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and dependability.
• Possesses good communication skills.
• Requires a high level of attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
